Hi all,
Seeing it's such a shitty day, with not much dry riding available, I'm putting out a note to anyone interested.....

Planing a Simpson Desert trailer/ride/trailer, leaving Adelaide April 30 (2013) and back again on May 6. Can only swing a week off w..w...wo...worrrrkk....so a week it has to be.

Trailering bike/s to Marree behind a hired Toyota tray-top. Leaving trailer at Marree and using tray-top as support vehicle. Day 2 to Oodnadatta via William Creek & Algebuckina. Day 3 to Mokari airstrip or thereabouts via Dalhousie and onto Rig Road. Day 4 along Rig Road via Lone Gum and back up to French Line/Poeppels Corner. Day 5 into Birdsville and a bit of local sight seeing. Day 6 Birdsville to Marree via Mungerannie. Day 7 Marree to Adelaide with bike/s back on trailer.
Trailer is 8 x 5 tandem and currently set up for just my own bike (2011 Tenere 660) but should take three bikes OK.

There is also scope to meet up at Marree if you want to ride the whole way.
So far it's only me and a mate of mine driving the tray-top, but it has to start somewhere, right?

The thinking is, if you have your fuel, water and gear riding on the support vehicle, you help out with some of the costs. (fuel etc)
If anyone is interested, let me know.
