Being as it's all but 1000k's each way has anyone in here been over and is it worth the trip?
As a Croweater you will be in a happy state of total shock.
Bright, and surrounds, is stunningly beautiful, green, and lots and lots of hills and streams. Everything that South Oz doesn't have in abundance.

I am an expat south australian (go the Doggies!) and can testify to the riding nirvana that awaits you. SA is basically flat, dry, sandy, flat, dusty, dry, and flat, apart from the Adelaide and hills area.

YES, it will absolutely be worth the day drive each way.

Just go. You wil be dopey if you don't. I am expat SA too. Try the central Vic Pyrenees when it rains. Good riding closer to SA. Go power!

What would you wear: RST mesh jacket (black) OR body armour+MX jersey (white)?

It's going to be pretty humid up there during the day, so I'd go for whatever vents the best. Forecasts haven't suggested anything more than 10mm on any day - if we get caught in any of it, I think we'd be pretty grateful for a chance to cool down a bit.

Well, sad to say I just lost that limb Craig, however, I am happy with the transaction.

Suffice to say, my LC4nicating days are over.....for now anyway

The lucky gentleman who now has ownership is planning a trip to Darwin & back with a few mates and will have an epic adventure.
A truly likable fellow and our three hour conversation after the deal would attest to that.

Not an inmate here, however, I have supplied a link should he wish to enter the fray.
A many year veteran of the Flinders surrounds, just happens to have ties to a significant part of the area.
I can not elaborate any further than that.

If you're reading this Cole, all the best mate.

Due to an expanding family, the bike needs to go. I'm not using it like I used to, for long trips and the like. So now it's time to downsize and limit my rides to short day trips near home.

I bought it new from Kessner KTM in Adelaide in December 2008.

It's done 50,319km. It recently had a new fuel filter and o-rings. The water pump was done and the valves were still within spec at the last service.

It's got the following extras:

Akropovic Pipes

Emig Racing Triple Clamps and Dampner

"Hard Parts" Crash Bars

"Hard Parts" Pannier Racks

"Hard Parts" Gobi Hard Plastic Panniers w/ 7L Water storage

"Hard Parts" KTM Tank Bag

"Hard Parts" Carbon Fibre Exhaust Heat Shields

Unifilter Pre-Filter

Rallye-Raid Products Carbon Fibre Windscreen (Still have original screen.)

Ram Mount on dash for Garmin GPSmap 60CSx (I'll look at throwing in the GPS)

Hard wiring for Garmin GPS

The front suspension I have upgraded the springs from .48 to .58 including re-valving to suit the heavier springs. This was done by Hoey Suspension here in Adelaide. (It's way too soft in standard trim.)

Rear suspension is untouched.

$12990

If you're getting a new KTM, you're going to need a new KTM jacket, and I have just jacket for you, I will sell it half price as in the store, only worn twice.
