I guess dyno isn't necessary, I just need the bloody thing to run properly.

It hesitates, bogs and just generally runs like shit when you give it a fist full.

Although a few years I have been in Adelaide now guiding and the rods been in qld, but still.

Aaron....unless someone has messed with the the stock jetting, you should be pretty right,
I have found the JD jetting kit & instructions to be all's that is required on the 525 to perk it up a bit...even though it runs a tad rich....engine temps stay low even with the tightest of mallee single track
Your 530 should be no different.

Yeah Con I've done the JD Jet Kit, but the bike sat for 12 months with fuel in it, so there could be anything in it.
I've ran out of patience for it and the classic I'd fast approaching.

Mate, take a sip of the concrete coffee and just pull the carbie out and set it as per JD instructions.
Failing that, we'll be there Thursday night and we can fiddle with it like a geriatric Bali tourist!

Hi Trev.
Thanks for the thought but I'm still unable to lay down and sleep have to prop myself up in a chair etc, so not in good enough shape to make the trip yet let alone survive the BBQ night intact.

As some of the injury is four years old I'm wrapped in cotton wool to allow it to heal properly, if I tare it it's not repairable, so have to be a good boy for quite some time yet. Doc says no work for up to 8 months!

Of course after a suitable time "quiet adventure riding" would be excellent physiotherapy.

Just to give everyone the heads up there is no fuel at Melrose anymore. Well, there is but only via a card reader with a Perry's fuel card, there is no EFTPOS facility on the card reader.

Some mates turned up Sunday and couldn't get fuel (I was supposed to be with them but got a flat and headed home).

The snoozer in the shop has his card for emergencies but had no credit left on it (read into this as to why the fuel supplier doesn't supply him anymore and put in their own card reader).

A nice local little old lady help these blokes out by using her card and they paid her cash.

Pass it on.
