(B) If not A, finish in the top 20?

(E) Just finish and get a dog spike?

Well, after an overnighter at the Robertstown Hollows last night, it's fairly certain that ItsGotToBeYellow is competing on his newly acquired RMZ250 so we made some loose plans for vehicle and bike convoy to the 2014 event in support of his effort. Bernie, Kym and I sat up until late discussing it.

If nothing else, you could piggy back those plans and we could all take over the Finke end on Sunday night..... D could be a great option.....

I've got a polished Ghan spike you could have.

You're a very determined rider, Kipo. A class win in the Over 60 age group isn't beyond you.
Why don't you plan on coming to the Condo750 with Sequent and I instead of torturing yourself at the Finke. You'd have a LOT of fun Rallye racing. It's just like a huge, high speed trail ride. With really excellent tracks. The only enjoyable thing about the Finke is getting to the finish line and actually stepping off the bike, if you're leg muscles still work. Oh, plus having your girlfriend waiting there with a cold beer and a lit smoke. I reckon doing Finke was harder than doing any of the Special Selectives at this years Safari, except maybe the one along the Murchison River bed - that was pretty difficult, but a lot shorter than the hell that is the Bundooma whoops.
Anyway, I'll go with (F) You'll probably die in a flaming high speed crash.
And I haven't forgotten the borrowed speedo drive - haven't found a replacement yet. Back working 7 days a week, so when I get a day off, I'll get it sorted.

Kipo I just heard the the Ktm team just pulled the pin on 2014 Finke as they didn't want their arses handed to them by a 60 plus year old balding slightly over weight DRZ gun........... I think you should enter Doc as well to keep you company.

Honda to I heard.

Our recent Postie ride through the sand on Mulgaria Station. The bike behind the lead rider at :33 is Chad Billett, who has placed 3rd outright at Finke and is a serious contender. I come along at the 2:58 mark (and with style I might add) so by my logic I'm only 2:25 slower than Chad Billett (and he probably took off before me) so I'm a cert for a top 10 place at Finke I reckon.

AND listen you blokes I'm 53 that's FIVE THREE not 60
