That might've been 15 or so years ago though! I'll be giving them a ring to check - can't find any mention on their web site but I've been an RAA member for donkey's years
I'm sure that bikes are not covered by the RAA, it's only cars these days.

Unfortunately the lost 2 hours cost me the chance to ride the Ulster Track, but I had a great chat to the Clerk of Course for the http://www.amrrc.com check out the web site gallery, even at my slow speed I was airborne often. Joey Dunlop's bike owner & his son gave me a detailed tour of their private museum. Oh! Yes That track lends itself to launching any rider into orbit with the high speed undulations.

Good one MB, my family came from near there, used to go to the NW200 as a kid & we lived at Ballygalley on the Antrim coast until we came to Australia in 1968

Cheers Terry

Imagine miles upon miles of 120kph + sweepers left ... Right ... Left ... Right ... Left ... No chance to lift the front wheel here.

And it gets even better with my own personal helmut cam photographer, here's a taste

I'm in heaven . ...... and believe it or not no dirt.

The Romans sure knew how to build roads, last time I was here I had a ball driving little Ford Fuckarse & anticipated riding a bike would be fun, but never imagined how mind blowing it could be.

Fast smooth straights, both high & low speed constant radius corners you hardly brake for, just back off a tad, drop into, then power on through for miles upon miles, big hills you have trouble seeing the top of with a helmet on, big valleys that drop down for miles, hairpin climbing & descending bends and today's run around the northern coast of Scotland with some 59 kms of roads sometimes no wider than two bike handlebars.

Cold though definitely heated grip weather!

Then again it's usually dry up this way

knobblies look like the go in SA

I've been communicating with Aussie Trev as I'm planning on being in SA in the next week / 10 days - was hoping to get away with 70/30 dual sport tyres currently fitted to the DR I'm picking up in Melbourne this week.

Ozzy-GS' pics of riding at Tarlee, which I see is just up the road from Gawler, suggest it'd be madness on my part not to fit a decent knobbly to the front at least
