Viewing the V Strom 650
Not a ride report , but I drove to a main dealer to have a closer look at the Suzuki V Strom 650 , a bike that I may consider when I can eventually get back on two wheels , as I have read good reports - it seems to be a good bike for the money .
Chris [ y2blade ] turned up too , on his Fireblade [ a credit to him - in good nick for a 6 yr old bike ] , as he wanted to have a look at the 1000cc Strom .
Never met Chris before today , but found him to be a nice bloke - we exchanged ideas and views about biking in general .
As for the baby Strom , I had hoped to test ride it today , but alas was not able so to do , as the dealer was having an open day .
As a result , I got there before the crowds so I could get a good look .
I also saw a few other bikes that caught my eye , as you can see ........
On the downside , I did see two V Strom [ both 1000 cc ] that were showing bad signs of corrosion on the engine casing , and with exhaust downpipes that had seen better days , even though they were both 2003 models [ one had clearly been dropped judging by the scrape marks down one side ] .
Nice to meet you Chris , hope to see you on the road sometime .
