In the back, an old Citroen van, in the foreground, a Citroen Mehari...it's plastic body won't rust...but it is in an appropriate state of decay. These are in Bisbee, Arizona, photos taken in March 2007.

This one is in Tombstone, Arizona. No idea what it was, but it was a motorized vehicle of some sort. Photo March 2007
 This one below is at the Painted Desert/ Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona, photo taken March 2007  This one below just looks abandoned, but in the Wal-Mart parking lot, this was someones home. February 2007  This quad is in Hyder, Alaska, working? abandoned? I wasn't sure, but it was interesting. Photo from July 2006 trip north.

A couple at Chiriaco Summit, California....March 2006.
Ready to be rescued?  This one used to be abandoned and shot up out on the range, now a museum piece.  and.....someone has got to know where this one is in California. I won't give it away, but I am sure many have seen this old compressor.

Sitting on some family acreage in Wisconsin
 Someone rolled it out of the shop before the roof caved in on it, to save it I guess   I wish I could have taken one of these wheels home with me, maybe some day I'll drive back there so I can.

 Far from abandoned. There was a whole fleet of old cars in Skagway ,AK. They were available for hire. I think this is a 37.

I was like, "oh-kay, that's great Greg." Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton |
