By the way, here are a few other galleries with pictures from three other trips to the Sierra. Enjoy!

Hey guys, I love that area too.
I could just never convince any of my buddies to go with me so I mostly did a lot of it alone.

near Pajonal, heading towards Huasteca canyon, May 2002. This is the back way into Monterrey. The San Cristobol road was closed at this time, destroyed by Hurricane Gilbert.

River crossing #3, river road between Rayones and La Boca (at the hwy near Montemorelos). There were 25 such river crossings. I finally snuffed the bike on #17 or so and had to just wait and let it dry out.

Approaching Casillas from Rayones

Check out my entrance into Monterrey via the Huasteca canyon backdoor at

I've also done the over the mtns route from Santa Engracia (near Cd Victoria) to Zaragoza and Aramberi, then looped over the edge down to Dr Arroyo and then back roads to Miquihuana and finally back to Sta Engracia on pavement. (actually a couple of times)
Would love to have some company sometime.

there have been times when I go to monterey four times a month but i've yet to see it like the photos I have seen here. You take a great photo! Looks like an awsome ride. The due date for passports is looming, i still need to get mine. Just been going on a temporary permit.
