Touring .Down to Morocco on a XR400
just a few photo's to view of my solo trip from Yorkshire to the south of Morocco on my XR400.
I covered 4000 miles in 2 week's of which 650 were off road. The bike was excellent, and managed the long road sections through Spain very well. It proved to be the right choice size wise once in the soft sand in Morocco. I will find some time to do a write up,but till then I hope you injoy the photo's Dazzer ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Absolutley envious... What a blast that must have been... !
Did you swap tires as soon as the 90/10's wore out or just wait until you really needed the knobbies for the sand...? Great photos... Looks like you had a great time. Good for you. Looking forward to a full report... Thanks, Rob

Next trip on the XR is down to do some off roading in Spain in July. They are a great bike and seem to just keep going. I fell off this one on some Diesel on the way home and it slid a far distance down the road. I picked it up and it started straight away ...only a few marks on the bar ends and slight damage to the panniers and top box. How the Hell I missed this Slick I will never Know...must have had somthing on my mind at the time ![]()

Eyup Dazzer,so I assume you live in Yorkshire?
You aren't the same Dazzer who used to frequent the VFR club forums are you???? What made you buy the Honda in preference to say a Suzuki DR650,or DRZ400s?????? Keep us updated mate,& well done on one hell of a ride! Mick(ex-Chestermick) |

Cool beans Dazzer.
It's guys like you that make me want to hit the trail... I'll keep living vicariously through you though for now. How do you get enough time off to go do that...? Great stuff. Rob I gotta go fire up the XR...

Ay Up
A mate and myself are planning a Morocco trip for this spring both on XR400s. Have you any tips for us?
Did you manage to find any challanging off road sections? Where did you get your maps from? Was fuel an issue? Cheers Rich |
