Looks like they have tried hard to keep all the weight very low.Looking at the seat there appears to be no tank and the forward lean angle on the motor.

Max, yes that the idea. Looks like BMW have not followed KTM's silly PDS with the offcenter shock mounts.

Ok, a light weight enduro bi-cilynder is the BIKE most of us are looking for
...but.......... the bike is based on an aprilia, ..so............. Why shouldn´t we buy aprilia directly? What improvements BMW offers to potential buyer in its re-styled aprilia??? Anyway, the question is....... is this the bike that BMW official team could use in DAKAR?, i am asking this becuse current dakar regulations authorise bi-cylinder bikes below 450cc. I´ll keep an eye on this bike, could be a good replacement for my KTM525

![]() That's F 'n cool. If I was going to build a dirt bike, thats what I would do. In all honesty, I've always wondered when someone would do it, and why it was take'n so long.

BMW 450 Frame is absolutely different than Aprilia XRV´s combined deltabox-multitubular frame.
Also i´ve been comparing both engines an there are many differences. ![]()

Good luck changing the output shaft oil seal without dropping the engine AND swingarm.
