Memorial Day at the Scrub is still going on, its just not posted on the board. I dont know who all is coming, so I guess I will shoot JD a PM and see whats up.

Looks like my Mom will be delayed, they are still in Maryland trying to figure out how to put the sails up.

Come up for Sun and Mon and we will ride.

I will be returning from Staunton, VA the prior weekend, so I really won't feel like driving, but if someone wants to tow it, I can prolly fit the Husky plus three if I put a couple more D-rings in it. I had asked Flux if I could park it in Dawsonville for a week with the Husky inside, but that now looks like a long way out of the way...

Yes, that would be sweet. You signed up for BA3?

Depends. Anybody have a rig that will pull a 6x12, four bikes, and four FFs plus their beer?

We can pull it with my truck. Splitting up the cost of gas and rooms will make it cheap for us. My AC is out right now, but I will fix it and throw in an aftermarket trans cooler for good measure. It will get a brand new AC Delco compressor, its just weak and leaking out of the front seal. This will be a sweet ride, if that Husky can handle it.

Rooms? Its 420 miles Ocala-Dville. We got four drivers.

b/t/w I asked John 10:10 if he would be in...no go, he'll be in Mongolia. As in China. So he's out.

I like the idea of a tranny cooler. It's uphill to Georgia.

At what point should I tell my wife about this ride?

Is it really that far to Dawsonville (home of "Awesome Bill," some NASCAR dude, I know nothing of NASCAR)? Didn't seem like that long a ride last time PK and I did it.

Anyway, I recommend you tell your wife now. She'll forget, then you can say "but honey, you promised" when the time comes. Works for me.

I just think it would be easier to arrive the day before and get some rooms, or camp somewhere.

If we are taking turns driving through the night and something unexpected happens it will throw us way off schedule and we might miss the ride. Maybe we could pitch a tent on Flux's front lawn. That way I get to see my Mom too. You better hope you never meet her, because I told her what you said.

And my Mom is sailing to GA now instead of FL. Anyone know of a place she can store a 37ft sailboat on the cheap?

If the ride starts early Sat. a.m. we have to leave by Friday pm, which means staying overnight somewhere. I vote for the hotel right across the street from the Wal-Mart. Not only do they sell cool head gear, but they also have Sam Walton's first delivery truck right out front! Kuntz was going to get my picture in that baby but it was too damn cold.

Yes, you and I arrived the night before and got up early for the ride. OTOT, I didnt get a good nights sleep anyway. I was too busy thinking about what this ride had in store for me. This time, I wont be nervous about it because I have a good idea of what is coming. I will be a welcome break from all the sand.

Yes, the good old smelly ass motel where they gave Bobby a plunger when his toilet flooded the room and told him no more rooms were availble and no one would be along to clean up the mess. We could just camp in the WM parking lot.
