Renfro Valley pics

Here's a few pics of the Renfro Valley DS ride from this past weekend...

A tire change before the ride... ihatefalling outfitted with PJs helping Uncle Jessie.

The header pipe on that CRF450 was a little mangled after the Saturday route.

Random ride pics... didn't take too many pics as we were moving most of the time...

Sfront...

Large rock formation along the trail...

Sfront gettin-er-dun...

Trail side break...

Part of the route had us going across a RR bridge...

Coal mine...

RR tunnels...

On the way back home...

That's all I have. I'll definitely do the Renfro ride again next year. Lots of fun.

Note to self... remember to bring plenty of adult beverages as Renfro Valley is located in a dry county.

You definitely would want to take a light bike on that ride. Oh... and practice maneuvering steep downhills littered with rocks, roots, mud, ruts, etc.

Quite the pucker factor for the first time back on a knarly ride after knee surgery.

I ran into these crazy folks last night at CaptRick's Spring BBQ in Santa Fe. They're in for a real treat exploring in the Rockies during the next few weeks!

Just work on picking it up.... you'll do more of that than actual riding

I'm planning on going up to Highalnd Park just west of Atlanta the last week in June 25th to 29th of so to mess with the new bike.LXIV Dragonmaster and I did the Beaver run in Murphy and the bike was a blast to ride in the mts. I dig the technical stuff more than our sand.
I know mid week runs cut a lot of you ham and eggers out but wanted to offer. Never been to HP so any info would be nice. I was told that it's lots-o-fun.

Went there in April or May last year and had a blast. Did quite a few of the 4 diamond trails. Didn't try the 5 diamond because I was cramping up and didn't feel like working my ass off.

I don't think you can get lost. Just pick a trail and go.

I'd join you but a mid-week fling won't work for me.

The weekend before we are headed up to Carter mountain to ride some private single track & then onto Sequatchie Valley for a day. If you like technical, this the ride! There's a few Guys coming from your area car pooling up.
HP is a blast, a few TW Guys are headed up this weekend.
Cheers
John
