can a 97 ktm 250 front wheel be made to fit a 06 300?

I was wondering if it's possible to fit a front wheel off of a 1997 ktm 250 exc to a 2006 ktm 300? I think the axle on the 97 is smaller?

Its possible if you make some sleeves to adapt the 17mm axle to your 26mm forks. you need the old axle and spacers...

I have the sleeves and can measure them for you if you have a lathe or a machinist available.

97 axle is 17mm, 2006 is 26mm. It think it's also shorter?

As Dentvent said you will need an axle and custom made bushings for the fork ends. PITA and not worth the trouble IMO, just sell the wheel and get the correct one for about the same price.
