this is me

I would normally take out the 12gs but have a K 1 in the back of the garage for sunny Sundays

The only other option I have for Sunny sundays apart from the 12gs is my trusty 12.5 hp ride-on lawn-mower... easier to pull wheelies though

That was Tawnyard Lough (I think). Can be gotten to by turning off right from the Leenane-Delphi-Louisburgh road, or swinging left from Leenane-Westport road. I got stuck in the mud for an hour, followed by a front flat and had to camp out overnight, so didn't have much time to explore the next morn, but there seems to be a good few miles of luvverly forestry trails there.

Got some Karoos on now, much better !!

Jaysus! did you camp out cos of the flat??? Just goes to show that you're always better off adventuring with someone else along for the ride.

Talking up north

I am here as well, though at the other end of the country - Coleraine, to be exact. I don't (yet) have a GS, just a Suzuki GSX1400, but it gets me about! I may be passing through the garden of Ireland in a couple of weeks, on my way to Jersey in the Channel Islands for 2 or 3 months to do some work, so, keep your eyes peeled!

Lucky Man! I note you anticipate buying a GS.... Looking for something different or just bored of the GSX....
I have a buddy looking at the possibility of buying an R12GS in Italy this Summer and taking a 2-3 week trip home in September..... Reckon's he will save a few quid even after VRT and registration etc... Anyone here brought back a bike from Europe/UK and if so any trouble VRT-wise??

Red,

Just fancy a change, to be honest, and the GS seems like a natural progression!

Yeah, they're a nice bike for touring on too. I heard that yer man Ewan Mcgregor and Charlie Boorman are doing another TV series called Long Way Down. I think they are going from Scotland to Capetown starting sometime this month... Lucky Barstards...... Would be nice to be famous and have everything paid for like that... Wonder if they are riding BM's again..

Gidday,
I'm in Galway fer the rest of the year, came over from NZ for a while.

Riding an old CBX750 and just got a not quite so old TDM850, see below:

Not a bad country to ride around at all, pretty similar to old kiwiland to be honest. All the rain makes me feel right at home...

Ah, yeah.

I'm here for 12 months though so I should get some use outa them. I've had the CBX for 4 months now and I wasn't gonna buy the TDM but it was cheap and I've always wanted one.
