To The Lighthouse!
My buddy Mike and I made an 'express' 300 km run out to the Heart's Content lighthouse on the shores of Trinity Bay on the island of Newfoundland, this afternoon.
It was a little on the cool side, especially with the wind coming off the water, when we were riding along the shoreline of the bay itself. A quick stop for a cup of coffee and a warm-up at Brown's Restaurant, in the town of Whiteway, had us back on the road and feeling somewhat thawed-out. There were lots of bergie bits in the water and on the beaches of Trinity Bay, and that kept the ride pretty interesting. After we snapped some photos at the lighthouse, and Mike practiced almost dropping his bike, we were back on the road and headed inland, to make the loop through Carbonear, and back home to St. John's. Here's a handful of photos from our turn around point in the town of Heart's Content... ![]() ![]() ![]()
