It was pretty easy once I figured out the spring clip. Also a good idea to estimate where you need the preload rings and get them close before you put the shock back in. It's a pain to adjust them while on the bike. Mark where they are now before you remove anything, then loosen them up so you can remove the spring.

I'll try and get a couple of pics.
Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it! I'm going to keep my OEM computer/Speedometer, but the rest of it is going to be very similar, I think. Possibly a Scotts triple clamp, instead of BRP, but not sure yet.

Ordering through mail order into Canada gets expensive, and I only want to do this once!

I have a JD Jetting kit sitting on the shelf, when winter hits, and I would also like to do the bars/clamps/stabilizer this fall.

All stuff I said I wasnt going to do to the bike when I got it....

Had a very similar experience. Was going to leave it fairly stock but then saw the other DrZ on this forum and ThumperTalk and sort of lost my mind. Still, I'm really happy with it and would have probably done the same to a KTM. Maybe nothe engine work. Would like to get a nice wheetset though.

Tried to keep OEM speedo but I couldn't get it to fit right. Good luck.

Box 2 of 2.

Woody's Wheelworks, 18x2.15 A60, Radd cush drive, superlaced, supersized...

The front wheel arrived a couple of weeks ago. 21x1.65 A60 on an Eagle hub and all of the rest.

She rides and her first comment was how heavy the wheel is... Yep...
Nice, would love to see a pick of them on the bike.

Added a Devol skid plate yesterday, that i purchased used on here from a fellow inmate, fit was great, seems like a real nice piece.

Still need to do rad guards and case savers.

Get those case savers on there. Just a tip over on the driveway has been known to cause broken covers.

And pull the shift lever and round off the back side. From the factory it has a fairly sharp angle that can increase case cover damage.

Wicked Finally!!!

Well after purchasing a dr200se almost 2 months ago, I've decided to upgrade so my fiance could have the 200 :) Came from a fellow inmate MrPrez who purchased it from another inmate... keeping it in the family!

Came with tonnes of Farkles, with a few I don't plan on using for now. Overall I'm very very happy with it with the exception of how BIG it is and how it holds its weight, the DR200 wasn't much lighter but held the weight lower, I'm getting used to it and being on my tippy toes (6' with 32"inseam)

I am selling the 4 gallon IMS tank it came with (blue), got the add in the parts section here if anyone is interested:

Glad to be on board with the bike!!!

Finally got to do some exploring into my DRZ, I've found nothing obviously wrong on the clutch side, valves are still in spec, cam chain is solid, sprockets and chain only have 1 1/2 rides on them.

When i was turning the flywheel to find TDC it was turning the rear wheel, while in neutral

check out all the crap that was in the oil filter, maybe 200 miles since the last oil/filter cleaning.

The skid started about where the car is, I'm sure lucky this happened on a straightaway.

Thanks man, yeah it definitely has some upgrades to say the least :)

Proud owner but man is the drz a powerful bike! Can't wait to get my suspension dialed in soon, it feels like it was setup for a 230lb+ person, I'm at 150lbs wet haha.

See-Three,

That is some scary stuff man, I know in your OG post you said you were going 70mph but from the length of that skid you sure you weren't going mach1? Glad you're okay man!

Part of the reason I slid so far is i was just breaking in a new pair of Pirelli Scorpion XCMS tires, they now have a nice flat stop on them
