Gearing....
My idea is to make a dual rear sprocket setup, something that Suzuki made over 40 years ago on their K15P farm bike (we had one on our farm) It means you need to carry a few links of chain and master link, so you can swap chain from the small "touring" sprocket, to the larger "off road" sprocket.
I will need to modify the lower chain guide but I think I have the rest worked out OK, to mount on a standard hub.

Saw this on CL. Looks like a good deal, especially if it has the FCR carb.

Don't know about the Devol brand but the UniBiker's fit my "S" with no problems with the fan. My only problem, not the guards BTW, was that the rads were both bent a little before I got the bike so it took a little to fit them.

I had them installed, but the shop said they took a little tinkering to get on. Nothing with the fan though. They ran $85.45.

Black06LJ,
Looks good so far! Couple questions.... What kind of skid did they install, and where did you find your mirror? Is it better than stock? |

Velosprocket
I got the mirror from Baja Designs. It is a nice fold away model, but it takes some setup to get it to stay up at highway speed. It has a spring tensioner in it. I like it alot better than the stock ones. My stock ones got "floppy" after the 2nd time offroad. I took them off. As for the skid... I am actually not sure who makes it (no stampings on it). I just asked the shop for a good one that he recommended. I am new to the DS world and relied on his knowledge. It does bolt to factory mounts and is easy to remove for cleaning though. Quote:

Race Tech Springs? 2000 DRZ400S
I went to install the fork springs I got from Race Tech and the new ones are 2 1/4" shorter than stock.
Is there supposed to be a spacer or something? Help, anyone?
