I do see your point and i just wanted to chime in and clarify that Hellsickles bike wasnt all he made it out to be.
Bob, time to let go.

I tried the bike. It wasn't what I needed. I shared the pro's and con's of my experience. No offense was intended. Move on.

Your workmanship and attention to detail are downright amazing. It is very seldom you seem homebrew setups like this so well done. Well beyond my capabilities or interest, but you sure did a nice job.

Thanks for the kind words, I like to think of myself as a perfectionist while many of my mates call me a pedantic bastard!! Whatever the title, I enjoy tinkering in the garage on bikes, can't be beat, cheers

This is funny. Ten years ago I had a 2002 DRZ-S. That bike been gone for a while and I just bought a 2012 DRZ-S. (Is that the only one they make now?) Then and now its been the same: a DRZ could really use a 6th gear. Or wider ratios.

As it is now, sprockets are a compromise for sure. I gear mine down quite a bit, now running 14/49 for the gnarly rocks in the local woods. But I only want to "cruise" on the pavement at 50-55 MPH. Even though it will obviously go faster, it's too buzzy to suit me. As you might figure, I do not go far on the road with it, not like out west where it might be 30 miles to the next town. On the road, I wish I had a couple of teeth less on the rear. But in the rocks, I wouldn't want it geared any stiffer.

[QUOTE=ADVGD;18990067]That is a custom built fiberglass screen and dash setup. I put together a built article here: Building an adventure bike screen

It is based on the Suzuki headlight shroud that will fit a DRZ250, DRZ400 and DR650, cheers

Nice job on the custom rally screen. I'm sure you could make a nice little side business selling those to inmates to help cover the costs of your motorcycle addiction, er-uh I mean "hobby".

I think there's another guy around here selling them, but I prefer your design.

Btw, thanks for the website where you show how to make the moulds and all.

S. I forgot to mention it has 21,000 miles on it. But the seller says no major issues.
