A 400 km Impromptu Ride

I managed to get out and put another 400 kms on the V-Strom today, riding the coastal roads of Trinity Bay and Conception Bay, on the island of Newfoundland. I figured I had better go grab a few more lighthouse trophy photos.

The Green's Point lighthouse, on the tip of the Port De Grave Peninsula, was somewhere I really shouldn't have gone on a V-Strom, by myself. The last part of the trail was more suited to my DRZ400, than my DL650 with the stock tires and no bash plate.

I also headed to Hant's Harbour on Trinity Bay, to grab a lighthouse shot out there.

It was a truly beautiful day for a ride. 20 degrees Celsius, and sunny skies. You could not ask for better motorcycling weather, in my opinion.

Here's a few snaps from my solo adventure...

Nice pictures as usual DRZ. Today when I left work I took the Conception Bay highway instead of the TCH to get home. The only thing is I couldn't turn up the Holyrood Access road and go across the Witless Bay line. I went on to Brigus before heading home. Today was a great day here on the rock.
regards
Dan

Just for you, boss!

Hey, Dan?!

I might take a ride down your way, and around the Irish Loop, if the weather's good this weekend. Maybe I could stop by your place and you could join us?

Yep...

A 20 degree day in May on The Rock deserves a quick get-away from the office, and a ride on the bike, for sure!. Definitely wanted to catch that wave of warm weather while it lasted.

It's going back to 5 degrees here, on the weekend.

Great photos. . . .thanks for the new desktop.

Nice bike. Looks all shined up, and in my favorite Strom color.
