OK, here is the final plan for Jack and I. We are meeting at the east side shell station (greenwood and 27th) Then we are heading out at around 6:15-20 ish. Whoever wants to ride out to 4 corners meet us there. See you in the A.M.

Robdogg and Brent met here friday morning and we took off about 9:30 or something. Hope they file a ride report as I got some great shots of the fellas - a full-spectrum ride!

That guy looks familiar but wayyyy toooooo clean! Nice ride today guys. I'm beat! I'll post some pics here tomorrow or on the BDS website?

HA! but at any point did he have a creek flowing into his jacket collar, filling up his sleeves, pants and boots with liquid snowmelt?

It was a chilly ride from Prineville out to 4 Corners but getting off the pavement an on to the power line helped generate some heat. When I arrived Aaron, Matt, Jack, and John where already there. A few minutes later Brent and Rob showed up. We left about 730 am heading north on the power line.

This is Brent. Rob is on the big 950 and I think Aaron's throttle got stuck wide open coming down the hill.

We Jonesd west from here to the top of Powell Butte.

Then back to the Millican hwy and into the Ville for some fuel. Next up was a jaunt north out of town up into the Ochocos along McKay Creek to the Green Mountain Trail.

Aaron was the first one through this high speed section. Then came John. He was going fast before he poured the coals to it. Well, the pictues tell the story best.

I'm not sure why I don't have any action shots of Jack. I think because he was usually out in front.

A quick stop at Steins Pillar.

Then back into Prineville to refuel. Headed south from there up Juniper Canyon and and then east along the north side of the reservoir out to Post then south over the Maury Mountains then into Brothers for some grub. They have great food here and are really nice folks.

At this point we were full (hopefully Aaron will post a picture of Rob's hamburger - that thing was huge!) and ready for a nap...but we still had some 50 plus miles to ride. Next up was some fun and fast desert riding to the back side of Pine Mountain. We found a hill climb en route. The other two pics below are from the road heading up to Pine Mountain looking east. We had to spread out a bit to keep the dust down.

At the top of Pine Mountain we decided to split the group. John and I would head back to his truck at 4 Corners (he still had a 3 hour drive back to the valley) and the rest of the group headed back to Bend.

242 miles.

I didnt stop on the green mt trail is probably why no pics of me..The only time i stopped was when i decided I wanted to sample the dirt with my face. Broke my kill switch on that one (it works but its about to fall apart).

242 miles! thats about 200 more than I normally do haha. Looks like its time for another oil change and valve check after that ride. I'm at 20 hours now on the new bike.

Thanks for leading that Greg, that was my first real dual sport ride ever :). Was a lot more fun that riding whooped out trails like usual. Gotta talk my friend into plating his 05 WR450F after seeing yours.

here are the pictures, in order. Had to edit through like 60. I just got up from sleeping 12 hours. From my garage in the morning to my garage after the ride 242 miles. what a ride!!!!!

I'm new at photobucket and didn't want to post up too large of photos, but maybe that's what I should have done Can I just post the link right to my photobucket account or.....what?

Nice pics on your ride. Next time you'll have to pack a chainsaw...and snow shovel!

Wow! What great weekend! We'll get a ride report posted a little later. We made it back to Renton (in the rain) late Sunday afternoon. After catching up with the family, I didn't have time to parse and upload my photos last night, so I'll do that tonight when I get home. But here's a couple from Fridays ride I managed to pull off my camera this morning.

Stihlrigg catching up with us and makeing a Kramer style entrance!

Wachs cooling off in a stream.

We had a great ride, thanks again for showing us around.

I always upload my photos, then edit them to the 15" or 800x600 screen size. Pbucket supplies the code, all you gotta do is right click and it's copied, then just paste it into your report.

Or you could be real lazy and just put a link to all your pics...
