Looks like you got some good diving in at Curacao! I was down there in 2005 pictures. We stayed at Habitat, place was nice enough, but the food was like poison! And, Dawn had a head cold and we didn't get much diving in. The shore diving was good there though.

Cameras... I had an older Sea and Sea for a while, which was ok, but would burn through a set of AA's in one dive!! This past trip to the Keys I used a Fuji F series camera with the Fuji underwater housing. I was quite happy with the results! ...
Hey NS - great stuff! Next time you go to Curacau make arrangements to stay at Sunset Waters. It is on the other side of the island from all the other tourist stuff. MUCH, MUCH better! It's where the real diving is anyway and the place was a real nice place for the money.

We spent all this summer camping throughout the Rockies from Grand Canyon to MT with our GS's in the toy hauler. I know, I know, GS - toy hauler - so many things wrong with that image!! - But hey, the wifey was willing to go along with her GS if we didn't ride ALL the time! - it was worth it!. The highest we paid for a site was $45/night and that was in W. Yellowstone during the height of the season (KOA was $65). I'd never pay $70+/night for camping - get out of FL!! Stayed in several places that were much cheaper and any time we were "en-route" we stopped at a Walmart. Why pay for camping if you're just cruising through??!! We found the KOA's to be usually the most expensive, we used Woodall's directory and had no problem averaging less than $20/night on our trip.

Sunset is near Santa Maria which is only a few Km up the road from Habitat which is (near Saint Willibrordus. Not the other side of the island, and also plenty far away from the downtown tourist stuff and merely 10 minutes or so to Landhuis Daniel for dinner!

Hijack off!

I found some more dirt roads, here's a collage.
Thanks to your picture, we have decided to stay here instead of the Tsali Campground north of this one (which we have stayed at annually since the 90's). We love Tsali because it is right at the Head of the mountain bike trails but wanted something new.We are trailering the scooters down 9/25 and staying until 10/5/09. We've been to the Dam several times but never back to the Campground. Can't wait!
