IIRC all the street models put out the same amount of power - at least the ignition rotors and such all have common pt#'s.

I happen to have a DR350 Service Manual in PDF format. I took a look thru the 1994 section DR350(R) & DR350SE(R).

Here's what's in the manual for the DR350SE(R):

Magneto no-load voltage (engine cold): More than 60 VAC @ 5000 rpm
Regulated voltage: 13.0-15.5 VAC @ 5000 rpm
Magneto Max. output: Approx. 125W @ 5000 rpm

Same as what I have.

Generally the same for all years except that the dirt DR's use a lighting coil and the DR S/SE's use a 3 phase AC "generator". Output fuses were 15A until '94 where they could have been 15 or 20A; manual (new compilation type) specs both.

hmm, my setup is 30wts for grips, 60wts for the headlight, guessing 60wts for the heated vest (anyone know what they usually run? Mine is an older BMW vest, made by Widder I think, but not sure). Then its still got to power the ignition, tail light etc and you've got to account for some efficency loss in the wiring, conversion to AC and though the voltage regulator. I suspect the 125wts is a very conservative spec:)

I just bought a widder vest, it's rated at 33 watts. are you planning on running all the extra's or do you have them on now? I was thinking about heated grips. I know it will handle the vest with no problem but adding the grips i don't know. let me know how it works out. thanks

Just got my tall seat in from GaThumper and went for a small test ride. It's a Ceet Seat and I love it. Between the tall seat and the bar risers riding was 100 times easier. Now I just need to get some real foot pegs!

Looks like fun! Also looks like you've got some bar risers to go with your higher seat? I've got the same seat for mine, but took it off since most of my riding these days is on the street. It (the Ceet) sure did help in getting the weight forward and off my knees.

Looks like fun! I've got a tall seat as well and love it, much more comfortable and less cramped feeling. I think the stock dr was intended for someone about 5'6" or so. I want to get some bar mounts to move the bar forward and would really like to move the footpegs back a couple inches, but that's too much work.

I got some wide pegs off ebay for ~$15 that work ok. The quality is nothing like the IMS pro series or fastway pegs, but then they are also 1/6th the price. Width and design is about like my stock CR250R pegs which are pretty good. The casting was pretty rough, but so far they seem perfectly functional. For the price I'm very, very happy

I ran the vest and grips and light on hi-beam all lastI spring with no issues at all. I used the grip heaters that stick to the bar (got them from casporttouring), I think they were made by kimpex or something like that.

Oh man, you read my mind. Any thing that I should look for when getting wider pegs? Most all should fit the stock rubber mount DR brackets, right? Those little slivers of metal just aren't keeping me too planted when I stand.

Overall, I love the seat and bar risers. They cost about 1/10th the price of the bike, but I'm OK with that as I bought the bike with 2700 miles and nearly every performance mod possible!

Nothing special about the pegs. Just decide if you want really high quality ones for around $100 or medium-low quality ones for $20. They replace just the actual foot peg part, the bracket and its rubber mounts are unaffected.

These are the pegs I have on my DR350 (they were $12 + 8 to ship when I ordered a few months ago, but still quite a good price).

As I said, they are pretty wide and a good, honda-like design, but the castings are a bit crude and they seem to be powder coated mild steel (as compared to the IMS pegs which are stainless steel). They are a huge improvement over the stock DR pegs and I'm totally happy with them. If your really picky about fit and finish the IMS pro series might be a better option for you, but if you just want something wider that works these are quite a bargin.

My DR actually came with those on it from the previous owner. They WILL bend if you crash. My right one is a little bent from a get off at low speed, so they're nothing too special, but they do give a nice place for your boots to sit.
