Fairing set up for Beta RS's

Ken, I left a note in your Beta-Talk forum but have not heard back yet. Are you or Do you plan on a fairing set up for the Beta RS's series?

I'm working on a universal fairing that incorporates the trailtech eclipse 2 headlight..

should have done by the middle of July. from there I can adapt to any bike either using a fork mount (fairing will move with front end) or fixed mount solid fairing.

1st I have to finish a few of the XR fairings for Garthe and 3 others.. should be done in a week or two.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll keep an eye on this forum or you can contact me direct through my profile when the time comes.

Hey Guys,

I'm building a similar unit, just wondering something. Does the headlight just bolt to the fairing and not any kind of support?

Cheers,

Wes

Try here, http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=409774
You will be able to find anything you need about the XR650R there. This thread is dedicated to kenaroo's custom fairing.

brackets for the Sahara tank

Other things to think about.......I have a Leo Vince SS header and Uni-biker radiator guards. The header pipes are a little oversize and this caused some issues. The stock Sahara mounts would not fit, nor would parts of the lower Uni-biker mounts fit. Things got a little tight in there, though very rock solid. The only option I could see was to fab up some little brackets and tie the lower tank mount directly to the Uni-Biker crash guards. I also had to mod the inside of the guards to clear the oil sight tube mounted on the front frame down tube. I did look at Hodakaguys stuff, but things were so tight, I wasn't sure if his would fit either. Not wanting to take the chance, just made my own. I don't know where you are on mods or which way your headed, but it is something you may wish to keep in mind........

Last call on production run.

I'm ending production of these fairings come January so that I can make space for my new fairing projects (Beta 525 and CRF 450X)..

I have 2 more to make for riders and I'll make more replacement wings at that time for existing customers that need parts.

I have about 5 more cnc'd subframes I can have welded up.. beyond that.. this project is done..

there are about 7 people that have expressed interest in the last few months..

if you are serious about wanting one... now is the time to place the order.

I might be interested in selling the molds at a later time if someone else wants to pick up the project.

once again.. thanks to all that helped me with this project..

I'd like to make them at one time.. just getting a final count.

I'll also need for everyone to ship me their lights so I can install them into the fairing.

I'd like to get two more orders then I'll get my fiberglass guy to run the last batch.

Hi Ken,

Ok I'm maybe a bit late, but I'm just going to buy a XR 650 and I've been looking like crazy for a fairing setup like yours.
Can you still get one (including mounting brackets etc). I can get the lights myself here.
I live in Belgium.

Thanks man,

Dom
