This is a cool panorama my friend took up near the top of Fireman Hill just outside of Boulder. The Girl Standing next to the Jeep has a video of some poor KLR rider that was having a tough time time making it up the hill just below us, guy had street tires and probably stock gearing which probably wasn't helping.

I'm not sure if Jeeps are popular or not around here

my 31s look tiny even compared to 33s.

You talking in Left Hand Canyon? Did you go up Carnage? Or have they closed that due to the knuckleheads shooting there?

If this is the Fireman Hill I knew when I lived there, that was a hard one and I had to right 2 Jeeps that rolled going up it after I made it up.

Yeah it's in Left Hand Canyon. Lower Carnage trail has been forever closed along with the Endo Hill. There were guys shooting all over the place when we went up there on Friday evening. It was all bikes and Jeeps though once you got high enough. Saw 3 tricked out XJs another YJ and a TJ on the upper trails.

Yeah, you enter and then Carnage was straight, and if you went up left, it took you up Lefthand Canyon (the longer and really easy way). The scary part was driving right through the line of fire where people used to shoot in that big clearing. Going up the easy way I think only took a couple hours to do the whole loop if memory serves. I used to go up there to do papers when I was in grad school.

I've got some pics and videos from that trail, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I actually had to buy a welder due to parts I kept ripping off going up that one.

It's really a bummer it's closed as it was a very fun trail and very challenging.

Too practical... never going to happen.

Put a nice camper shell on the back, and a diesel engine in the front, and it's a perfect RTW explorer.

damn! that with a diesel and I'll never need another vehicle!

Of course that's exactly why they'll likely never build it

I think you've underestimated the fiscal stupidity of many Jeep buyers. 2 Years ago when I was living in CA, Stevens Creek Jeep had a JK on the lot stickered at over $50K! $50,000 for a WRANGLER, that's silly money; but also look at the cost of a Raptor, and Ford can't build 'em fast enough to keep up with demand. (I've got less than $10K in 2 Jeeps, so I doubt I'd ever buy one)

Check out these JK owners, everyone of these guys probably has $45K in their rigs; and they pay $1000s to go on these excursions that I see kids take $4000 XJs on

There were a lot of high dollar 4 door JK's at Jeep Safari in Moab this year. That seems to be all the rage these days.

I really wanted to go to that this year; maybe it's a good thing I didn't I probably wouldn't have fit in with my beater YJ.

Here's a few more examples of Jeeps I don't even want to know how much they cost.

Not my pic but saw this guy parked in town a week ago

'nother type

and there's more than 1 of these AEV Brutes around here

(these are $30-$40K ontop of the cost of the vehicle; that's an $80K plus Jeep!)

That one curve gives whole new meaning to KEEP IT TIGHT. I would have crapped myself had I lost my brakes there
