How ya been PB?

First, I gotta find out for sure if I can go. I'm not too big on bailing out on a ride after I said I'd go. I should be able to do this though.

If so, hell yeah, let's ride.

You'll prolly want fresh tires for the Big Adventure.

Pit Bitch, you have been added. Looking forward to meeting you. Billy says you smell like 3 week old dirty diapers, but we'll take you anyway.

BTW- Dales no longer serving food FYI.

Hey kids, looks like I have some research to do regarding insurance and charging people to ride in the national forest. Some things have been brought to my attention about it.

If this ends up being the case, everyone will have to be responsible for paying their own $5 as we leave Whissy...paying their own camping fee of $12. I can probably still sell shirts here, if everyone wants a shirt...I'll take a vote on that one, and as far as gassing up the cargo truck we'll just take donations on that.

Either way, it'll work out and still cost about the same amount. I was just trying to get everyone to pay me to keep life simple...I could just pay TWO one lump sum, stick all the cash in one envelope at Whissy. Anyway...

If anyone has any questions let me know, and I will keep y'all updated. The date has not changed. I intend to get reservations for us at TWO as soon as I get a final head count.

Cool with everyone?

Talked to Mark and I'm in for Saturday for sure and maybe I'll make Sunday too.
Bringing my riding buddy along for the day Saturday, but he most likely won't make Sunday.

Look for these two Olde DOGS on the pair of DR350s... OldeMan on the left and GaThumper on the right.

Notice the cheap "KLR" seat covers from Wally World!

I love the DR350! It's light enough and has enough power (30 HP) to be fun and do anything I want to do. Low seat height and decent suspension and I just love the rock solid simple air cooled motor and screw adjust valves. The six speed is something that I really missed on the DR650 and the DRZ400. If I feel the need for more power there's a 441 kit that bolts on for about 10 more HP.

Got mine after buying (and selling) a DRZ400, KTM450, and a DR650 (For Sale Now). I felt like Goldilocks, this one's too big, this one's too small, this one doesn't have enough power, this one has too much power. Yeah, hard to believe, but the DR650 is just too much in the woods for me! It'll rip your arms off when you twist the throttle and the engine braking is so fierce it's like putting on the brakes. It rips and snorts and was fun, but a lot of work and I wanted something just a little more nimble. I hate to sell it, but can't justify three bikes.

Sold the '05 KTM 450 when I ran into trouble getting my tag with the intention of having two less expensive bikes, one pure dirt, and one dirt capable dual sport. If I wasn't such a dirt rider at heart the DR650 is in my opinion one of the very best 50/50 dual sport bikes out there, but I wanted 80/20 dirt. I've ended up with the '99 DR350 for the dual sport rides and a KTM 250 4-stroke with the 350cc kit installed for the enduro and hare scrambles. It's a nice combo.
