I started reading this thread a long time ago but I guess I got sidetracked. Musta seen a chicken or something. What a freakin' riot! I was thinking about entering a couple of events this year on my 640 Adventure, now I know I'm going to do it. Elsinore will be one of the races, a local D-37 desert race to be announced will be the other. Maybe even an enduro somewhere along the line. Should be a piece of cake compared to rasslein' that yellow beast around the woods.

Just saw this thread, also. Great write-up. I'm wondering what happened to him, though. The last post (I can remember anyway) he was training for the 2004 event. Did he ever do 04 or 05?
