On the way to the tag you will pass by this bridge:

It is worth seeing as well.

That "bridge" caught my eye also. It carries petroleum or some other liquid across the mighty Miss. Later on, I found out the current tag location was popular destination and close by. Wish I had found it and had the picture waiting for right now!

Weather has been nice lately. Are there no ADV riders ready to get this tag?

It has not been nice at all.

But I remain confident that it is coming.

Current Standings

Ever wondered who got the most tags in the central game?

Well now you know. This should be no surprise to anyone (the highest number shouldn't be anyway).

Well done yet again pmd!

It was very interesting reviewing this thread. The game got off to a shaky start - many people who could not understand the basic concept. It is nice that in about 2011 people actually started posting the location of the tag.

Anyway, jolly good show.

This fiasco should count as 3/4 making my tally 4.75.

It should be warm enough to ride South when my finger heals from a recent surgery. I hope someone has this one tagged before then...

I left town at 0900, and I just got home. To make a long story short; there are no street signs in Scotland Co, MO, so I took a wrong turn and got stuck in the mud/clay. I went for help after 3 hours of digging and pulling by hand. A couple of farm boys towed me to their place with a 4-wheeler and after 1/2 hour of power washing, a battery charger, and a few adjustments, I was on my way home without the tag. I buried the wee-strom about 2 miles due south of "The Soldier".

I am going to bed now...

I have shared your story and picture of your attempt to find the "Soldier in the Field" with many. It gets a good laugh every time. However I think it is only worth 1/4.

fasthair deserves a fraction of a tag for his attempt too.

Isn't it funny how the failed attempts seem to make the best stories?

I'm posting it anyay. :) I didn't see any other bikes today either! We must of just crossed paths. I'm not sure I've done this right so here is the URL to the photo.

The good story IS the reward.
