very nice!

are the decals oversized in length? did you have to cujt-off and shape the ends to follow the lines of the tank? I'm referring to the red "Paris" decal.

if possible, can you also post a photo of the bike's other side? thanks.

They are oversized. There is 5 extra inches total to play with on the "paris" ones. Since it follows the contour of the tank it is very easy to get the pattern. I used a grease pencil to mark out the cut and then used an x-acto knife to make the cut. Here is a close up of the left side. I also have very high res pictures availiable for reference.

thanks, motobi for the pics. very, very nice...

related question: if i were to have my bike painted, would you apply the decals after the paintjob (after clearcoating), or would you apply the clearcoat after sticking the decals?

The OEM oaint has the stickers over the paint....I know because mine where bunged up so I pulled them off with the aid of a heat gun.

Where did you find paint that matched the decal color? Any word on a bottle of touch up paint?

yes, that's how the factory did it. but would it be better and more durable to paint a clearcoat over the decals, if one is repainting his tank anyway? or is this a bad idea?

I would say it's a Good Idea. I put an Adventure tank on my Oilhead GS, and repainted it. In doing so, I affixed the GS stickers that is on the Adventure to the new tank, AFTER painting, and then had the painter "Clear" over the entire tank. It came out very nice, and now the GS sticker is very protected.

Love the decals, your bike looks great. Any chance of mailing a set of the red/white Paris decals to the UK when they become avaliable? Should i just wait & watch here or will you PM me when in stock. Just wondered if by any chance you will be doing the GS decal above the headlamp, its gray shaded red with white background on mine. Sorry about all the questions.
Cheers Bubbles

Update. I got a better deal with multiple orders. There is a price reduction down to $70 USD plus shipping for the PD kit. I also have the pinstripe replacement kit for $20 USD plus shipping. As far as the GS decal above the headlight I will be making those availiable in a month or so. If you buy the kit now I will send the "GS" decal for free when they are made. I will have a prototype pic up of the bumblebee version by Friday.
