Compression Specs for 95 Tiger?
Does anyone know the compression specs for a '95 Tiger? I have 170# on the right cylinder and 175# center. I will check the left cylinder as soon as I can get the fucking adapter for my compression gauge dislodged from the center spark plug hole.

i don't know but...
anything over 145# for the bmw is considered good - 175# sounds like a reading i would be happy with if cylinder #3 is w/in 10-15% of the other two. is your bike acting up or are you just doing a service?

Trying to ascertain if I need to do actual valve work or if I got away with it and can go riding.

Intake mods
I got the adaptor out and checked the left cylinder; got 170#
So final count this round is 170#, 175# and 170#. Suspect this may be a little low yet. Nobody seems to know what's spec, so I will button it back up and ride it for a while. I am also dicking with the airfilter. I put a K&N in. I am told it flows too freely and requires rejetting. Since I am not after more power and more noise, I thought I would try adding more filtration to cope with the dirt I ride in so much. I added a second snorkel with intake trap and put uni foam in the bottom of both snorkels to pre- filter the air coming in. I cut down two blanking caps and put them over the snorkel mouths to reduce the intake area to about that of the OEM single snorkel arrangement(I am trying to reduce the amount of stones sticks and dirt that enter the intake by reducing size of the openings and moving them a bit to the side of the gap above the rear wheel and chain). I sealed the entire box with silicone and duct tape( what crappy design and execution- SHAME Triumph!) and added a layer of foam in front of the K&N. I was afraid I would be way off, maybe too choked down, but the bike runs well with no hesitation or backfires. The plugs were white gray when I checked after a 15 mile romp. I will check again soon and may add a bit more foam. The plugs I took out when all this started were black with carbon. The OEM filter was saturated with dirt and the intake box had mud, rocks and part of a bird inside...
