I hope you guys waited for the rain. That would make the creek crossings more interesting.

I bailed just an hour ago...it rained basically all morning. Creeks were fine, as the rain wasn't too heavy. Slimy-ass concrete bridges were another matter...
I had a blast and it was great meeting everyone...Definitely do it again!

Certainly don't mean to hijack the thread but I need some help. Looking for a backroads route from Joplin, MO to Fayetteville, AR. Would really like to keep it to two lane, county, farm road type riding. Not really comfortable taking the KLR 250 onto Hwy 71 with a 70 mph speed limit. I'm fairly new to Joplin and the only route I know is Hwy 71. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. In the meantime I'll be checking Google maps and what not.

If I were you I'd start a new thread - more people will probably be able to help...also-you might want to check a DeLorme Map or GPS mapping software....
Good Luck Quote:

Hey Buzzez - it was a good ride today but it's real dry down there....I'd say there were 2 good crossings...one was on Massas..The long crossing at the bottom of Lost Creek was a puddle.....
It was suppossed to be sunny and 86 today....arrggghhh! BTW Btl - after you left we hung a bit and then it stopped raining. We stopped by Wally World and bought cheap rainsuits and dry shirts. We had a good run then. It turned into a really nice afternoon and ride. Quote:

And the rain shall pass
It was a great trip today even though it started out pretty wet. Great creek roads in the Warrenton area and thanks to Gary for getting us to all the good spots. Once the rain stopped it was a great afternoon of riding and I was glad to be able to finally get to Massass Creek Rd.
![]() I was great meeting everyone - a great bunch all around. Looking forward to the next outing. PS. Thanks for the bunge cords to make up for my lack of welding ability |

Of course, after I leave, it stops raining!I got home, had a brew and passed out until 8:30 this evening. Little sleep finally caught up with me. When I get back from Utah I'll look y'all up for the next ride

I had a great time. Thanks to Gary for leading us on a fun ride. I know Keith enjoyed himself and he said his ride time here exceeded his expectations. Ken

Thanks
Thanks Buzzez for getting the word out about the great rides in the area. Looking forward to some more great rides.
The "Hills" sounds really interesting. Never ridden in Mark Twain and am looking forward to giving it a shot.
