OK. Sounds good. I would like to meet you in person sometime. I ride a WR and love to hear you thoughts and ideas on them. I'll be there Friday afternoon and riding the GS ride on Saturday.

I was on the X Challenge.. The GS would have been a handful in there.

There are some much better riders than I am, that wouldn't have had any trouble with a GS on the blue track.
I've seen Shannon from Gatway BMW take his through worse stuff than that. I don't run TKCs on mine. I can think of at least four or five spots where I would have been picking it up.

All that made me want to do was give it a shot.. Next year for sure. Ha

How do we keep up on events? We're members now.
The red had some single track so it ain't quad width that's one reason we separate it. It had some off camber tight turns and a rutted hill or two.
We're pretty laid back outfit (not real organized) the events and ride weekends are listed here http://www.ridemtra.com/index.htm and we send out 2 or 3 newsletter a year. Big events are the Show Me 200 in June, a HS in the spring and this poker run. All that's left for this year is one more ride weekend and the Halloween campout.

Hope to meet a few of you in person at Falling Leaf this weekend! I'll be riding my old (88) R100GS. Last year a few of us took the GS route on our own - less dust to choke on - and had a blast! Looking forward to trying it withOUT a bald front tire this time.

I've never been on Friday before...can someone tell me if there's anything happening then, or if it's mostly some spontaneous group rides? I'm pretty much nomading it, so don't want to ride all the way down to stare at an empty campground on Friday...

See ya!

Sounds good. Friday is mainly a setup day etc. I am sure there will be a few bikes going out for a ride.
See you there.

I just got a phone call from a friend of mine that is already in Potosi at the rally and he said there is several people there now. I also checked the weather and its' going to be a great weekend for a rally............... low to mid 80s during the day and upper 40s to low 50s at night....... with 0 percent to 10 percent rain.

Nope, I'll be working the tent all weekend, my bikes staying at the shop. Stop by and say hi.

I'll be at the Falling Leaf tomorrow (Saturday). I'll probably be the only 25-year old. I'll probably be at the Airheads tent. I'll definitely be riding my R90/6.

Coming back from Fayetteville yesterday, I saw a lot of riders heading SW on 44 that looked like they were coming from the rally.

Perfect weather. Hope you guys had a blast.

The rally was great

I got to meet a lot of great people (too many to name) and glean some good information for my upcoming Alaska trip. Benka was also great to listen and talk to. Got to test out the handguards on the way home; big woodpecker square on the left handguard created a great puff of feathers. Hope to see everyone next year.
