birds nest lodge

Floated there about 13 years ago. Talked to the owner, a retired AB exec, who had enough of the corporate life, and started the outfitter. Camped there after the float, and I still remember the sound of cars passing over that bridge. Only rode over it once, so am sad to see it go. Why must every bridge be modern?

Another weekend at Honz's Rogue Creek Camp

we'll be down at my place out side Potosi saturday night.
BYOB, and food. i'll have stoves and grill availible.
plenty of camp space, or fight a place in the shack or big Army tent.

Rusty Briggs will be leading a ride for the light bikes off road, 450 size and smaller stuff. he says a 650 would definately be a hand full. (need to be street legal or travel at your own risk)

i will be leading an easier gravel road/pavement ride.

rides will leave my place about 8:30am sunday.

some will also be staying sunday night if you want to play hookie on Monday.

short notice, i know; but this was kinda spur of the moment deal!

all are welcome!

Honz

Stopped at all the good places including Mt Magazine and the trails around it, Mills Creek offroad area, Oark for lunch, and Turner's Bend

Would be nice to see that ride "organized" again. (Accept for the AMA backing which it originally was)....those tracks and routes are still floating around. There were big bike and offroad tracks for a nice choice in riding.
Leaving Friday for Mulberry Resort, To ride some of the trails and roads of this non-event this weekend!

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

FYI, four of us from Kansas City area will be on adventure bikes coming through that area. Actually planned to stay Sat night at Mulberry, but the lodging is full. On Sun morning we'll be heading over to Shores Lake then hit Warloop then Pannell. Good times!

Troy, you might try calling Brad at Turners Bend to see if any of his cabins are for rent..Plus he has a great camp ground..... and you will be close to Oark .just a thought. Enjoy.
