End rant!
Awesome Season! Crazy "ride" to get to the World Series. Well deserved. And, the Rangers played well. Just not quite enough to clinch it.

Yes, what a series! Both teams played good baseball. The only thing that could have made it more exciting is if we had played a little Whitey ball and pulled off a squeeze play or two.

That would have been great! I heard on the radio he had recently fallen and could not attend the celebrations.

plenty of camp space, or fight a place in the shack or big Army tent.

Rusty Briggs will be leading a ride for the light bikes off road, 450 size and smaller stuff. he says a 650 would definately be a hand full. (need to be street legal or travel at your own risk)

i will be leading an easier gravel road/pavement ride.

rides will leave my place about 8:30am sunday.

some will also be staying sunday night if you want to play hookie on Monday.

short notice, i know; but this was kinda spur of the moment deal!

all are welcome!

Honz
For those of you that missed it, we had a great ride. Only had one casualty....just couldn't handle the hiking/goat trails that we were riding and went back to camp via roadway.

I elected to pass on it.. I hope Honz doesn't see this, he'll put 2+2 together and try to get me into a 250. Ha

Glad you guys had fun. I found some fun stuff down NW of Ellington..

Those beautiful old bridges should be restored not torn down. What a shame. All in the name of budget cuts or so-called progress.

Swingbridges to old mills

Maybe we will have to change the ride from bridges to mills. The article did mention some that are on gravel, one being a nine mile gravel road. When the bridges are gone we will just find so other excuse for a ride, all we need is one brave soul to lay out a route for us to follow; of course Big Dog already has route to mills and springs we could enfringe on.

If you haven't visited these.......you should. A great trip. As an enticement, here is what we had for desert, after a great lunch at The Old Dawt Mill.

Hey I am game for a bridge or mill ride, just so long as I am riding and I am now armed with a Delorme PN 60 so I can lead a group. Or, run a hybrid route of bridges and mills. That may show a bit more Missouri history and be fun. By the way I don't know if its just Pulaski County or State level but the radio news talked about enacting a 25mph limit on county roads. If that goes into effect the Revenewers, I mean police will be out in full force collecting money.

Well they ran us out of the woods and now they're trying to run us off the gravel roads.

One of our NW Arkansas riders (O'leary) got pulled over for exceeding the limit on a gravel road. We're getting regulated within an inch of our lives. He didn't get a ticket she warned him. Guess that could have gone either way.
