If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

Just trying to be like you BigDog. I got mine used from Honz and started to farkel it out. So far; Fastway Pegs, Sargent Seat,Giant Loop tank bag, Tail Rack,Pelican box, Oury Grips, 1 litre spare fuel cell, got a brand new set of Perelli DOT all terrain knobbies I will install right before SLAP. The big German is not liking the attention the little ToJo's getting. Stock everything else, quiet and reliable.

commuting on the WR

Been commuting on my WR until I find a new all purpose bike. Wearing down 606s on the road is not the best but only bike right now. Best fringe benefit is riding the gravel side roads by railroad tracks on commute home. Sometimes I even get to go around a stopped train and irritate the hell out of the cages stuck on road.

levee wall area

Forgot all about that day down by the levee Jeffrho. Still get down there occasionally. Some great old industrial areas to explore along the river, some even with jumps. The old cotton exchange building by lumiere has some urban exploring potential. Just watch out for the homeless individuals down that way.

As the resident urban explorer on adv, the Cotton Belt Depot is not really worth checking out. It's almost entirely empty.. and hobos do indeed live there most of the year. Also, it's not quite big enough to be an urban exploration playground, like the Great Lakes Carbon "Carondolet Coke" plant, for instance, was. I wish I would have taken a dirtbike through there.

I'm kicking around the idea of a mid-winter getaway at the cabin for some moto-storytelling (and riding). Anybody have times that work or don't? Maybe Dec 8 or so? I haven't been out there since the weekend that BigDog and HighFive came by, and I've really had an itch to build a big fire and pour a drink.

I believe it will work for me. Just have to watch the weather. I think I'm supposed to be on a quail hunt, but the bird numbers are down, maybe I'll give em a break that weekend and ride.

I know I can find that one field where you had the wind shear go thru and take out all those trees. How far is the cabin from there?

Jeff

Hi Stuart,

I'm pretty far from your place---and I doubt riding to your cabin in December would be a do-able thing for me.
It's 21 out now---I'm riding to work as usual---but it's only 5 miles

But-----if you get some guys together and want something to do in the evening----I'll send you my Alaska DVD---it's one and one-half hours long---and you all can watch it if you like.

Just give me a PM with your address-------if you want a copy of it.
