WR is done
Just got the chain riveted on and ready to take the WR out for a test ride. Will give that a go and see you guys in the morning. Jeff, are you riding the xchallenge tomorrow? Mud will be interesting with my low tread rear. :)

This may be my first post here at ADV but I've lurked for quite some time. Any chance a newbie can tag along tomorrow? What type of terrain are we looking at? I've got a 08 drz sm with distanzias and use to ride St. Joe with my yz250 smoker so I think I'll be alright off the pavement.
I guess I'll also introduce my self here. My name is Dustin. Twenty eight years young and have lived just south of STL my entire life. I currently live and work in House Springs, MO as an ASE Certified Master Automotive Tech. I don't venture out of Jeffco and STLco much but plan to this summer with my new to me drz. Hopefully I'll be able to make some of the rides this next season. |

Saturday ride
Most of the roads will be rock and chipped, there will be a few miles of loose rock roads. See you in the morning.

Welcome!
Welcome Dustin! This a good group to lurk in, I did it myself for quite a while.
Tomorrow's ride is pretty mild . Any bike can ride along. We had GS1200's and all kinds of bikes back in October when we did the same run. Lots of gravel and cool bluffs, good ride. By the way, being in Jeff Co. you are only an hour or so away from some of the coolest roads around, outside of Potosi. Darren Blue KLR |

I didn't get the tracks loaded.. Got your message though, so we will be following you. I just put a new 606 on the back of the XC, so where ever we go, is fine with me. See you guys at the Red Roof gas station at 8:00!!

range on this ride?
Do I need the 1 gallon rotopax for this ride or will there be gas stations spaced every 100 miles or so? Bike is all ready to go after a last minute brake issue. Nothing like bleeding brakes in the cold dark night. Got some feel back on the pedal, good to go.

Hey Gethlos what are your Alaska dates? My riding buddies are going without me due to scheduling conflicts. I was going with Magneto and Like it loud, but he has to leave early July and I can't leave Glacier National Park until Monday 16 July or end the trip there the Friday prior. Its my family reunion.

great ride today
Rordog led a great ride, not the tracks we passed around. Met up at 8 at the red roof gas station rt 3, and met up with 8 other riders. Couple KLRs, a road legal yz450f , xchallenge, klx 351, and a couple others. Gravel, lane backroad, 1 lane backroad, mud, levees, and even a couple of serious jumps. Thanks for leading Rory, always nice not to watch the gps. Jeff made tracks, I hope to get them as I forgot. Had a good lunch in prairie du rocher and headed back. Over 200 miles for the day on the WR. What a great way to end the year. Heres to more great riding in 2012.
