tools to "do the doo" on an '05 KLR

Anyone in the area have these tools? I've been doing an increasing amount of odd jobs for riders in the area, so would be most interested in just buying the tools from someone and keeping them around for the next time someone brings me a KLR. Figured I'd ask around for some used stuff before buying new. Always up for saving a couple bucks..

Also just wondering, are there any specific pros/cons of the torsion spring over using the typical coil springs?

I've never replaced one of these doohickeys before, but the job looks pretty straightforward. The bike I'm working on now is an '05. From what I've read online, looks like all affected model years require the same tools and replacement parts though.

If the torsion spring ever breaks it cant go anywhere unlike a standard spring which finds its way to the cam/balancer chains. The torsion springs also has a greater range of adjustment.

New rotor bolt is recommended

edit, I have nothing for sale but you might look at the klr sites

Thanks

First time off-road with the new Bike.

See the thread Here for trip details and video.

Trip was based on advice from inmates, and organized by BillsburgGS. I had a blast.

Are you going to be at the GS chellenge this year or even participate. I hear Gateway allows all DS bikes this year. Hope to see you there the week before the SBR. I have not signed up yet but I think they still have spots open. l will call the BMW dealer and talk to Adam but I will be down there regardless.

Gehtlos,
I'm glad to hear you'll be at the challange and the SBR! I going to the challange but just to watch like last year. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Will talk to you more about SBR at the challange.

Jim

Come on take that 990 and jump some logs. I'm going down there with my te630. Make sure you say hello, I have a hard time keeping the names, faces and screen names all lined up. I just don't hang out with you guys enough but I want to change that. You Missouri boys are just a fantastic group of guys. If you bring your 250 maybe we can run some trails.

Regards Oliver

I think Honz should let us use the demo bike for the actual challenge. We can't mess it up any worse than the instructors did last year. I still have the pig but the TE will do the dirt from now on. Is much easier to pick up. Can't wait to go riding and share a laugh with everyone. I'll see you there.

Hey Oliver, Hows it going? I hope to make it to the Challenge. I am scheduled to work that weekend but I'm trying to switch shifts. Are you coming down Friday or Saturday? I may ride out Friday evening to say hi. If I don't see you I'll see you at the Bridges Ride. Which bike are you going to ride on the Bridges ride? If it's the Husky you better have some extra lights on it. You never know when you may ride in the dark. Look forward to seeing you. Later Joe

I think I'm going down on Friday, you riding a DRZ now? I will take the TE to the SBR. Be riding with a buddy from Illinois. He promised me we going to make it for dinner, so I hope night riding is not in the cards.

I will keep an eye out for you.
