Still in the route!
Here's what it looked like the first time I tried it. On a GS1100 with Tourances.. First time I had a motorcycle off the blacktop in probably 30 years.. I gave it my best. Made it across un-aided. Had a small tip over in the small strip between the channels though. That, and I had to duck walk it up the grassy side..

But several of us know that particular time crossing was not how it got its name

There was a little (OK, a lot) more water involved in places it should not have been

Yeh from me too !!!

We can blame ThumperR˛ (formerly ThumperDRZ) for this cold weather that is coming----bought a new bike---always brings crappy riding weather.
But it's nice to see some snow---some people hate it------but it's so pretty.

That's how it goes....I have to get a few things done on the bike....including heated grips and some maintenance items. Oh - and maybe a plate and insurance would help too....

My first ride will be up north towards the Clarksville area to check out the eagles and a super secret eagle's nest location I heard about.

I really love riding up that way.

By the way - my Brother in law has a buddy that lives out by the Lost Creek / Massas Creek area.....his game camera took a picture of a mountain lion which my bro-in-law showed me on his phone last night. Pretty neat.....

Merry Christmas to Everyone!

Ouch! I haven't forgotten about that crossing/event.. Whew, I'd still be there if it weren't for Kevin's tools, and Shannon's resourcefulness. And Glen's trip for oil.. And I'm sure I'm forgetting much more. As someone told me though, I did learn a lot about the XC that long, long, long, day.. We also discovered the big lunch at the church that day.. What a catastrophe..

Hey.. Merry Christmas everybody!

That was the best thing that happen that day, or was the Train ride the best thing.

I saw a lot of cougars right here in St Louis Thursday night, fortunately for me they only prey on the young...lol

Won't be much modding - just some maintenance stuff. Take it apart and grease it real good. I always do that! Plus it will help me to learn the bike in the process. I will probably get a Seat Concepts low seat and the grip heaters need replacing. It does have the HDB top clamps and 3CS power outlet which is very nice. (I think that is the combo)

Where's the best place to buy a new swingarm chain slider? Those are kind of pricey. I want to start fresh with a few items so I know where I am at.......especially on the high wear items.

I need to buy a maintenance book. Will be digging in real soon.
