Ive got 2 KLR 650's and a KLR 250. When riding passes in Colorado last summer on the 650, I was thinking how nice the 250 would have handled in the same area. And yes its going to Colorado this time!! Along with the 650 and a 4 wheeler.

As for keeping up on a 250? Come to Swinging Bridges, look up ASapper, Aka Andy and his KLX250. Chase him. Bet ya a cold one that ya dont pass him.

Oh and Andy is vertically challenged, ( no offense Andy!) but his running mounts and dismounts need to be seen!! And you need to check out his aux fuel tank too. Dont follow him across open water!!

I switched to the WR250R as I wanted something fuel injected. My previous DR650 got to were it would not start after sitting a couple weeks. I'm about 270 and it holds my weight just fine. I added a Rotopax as a cheaper option for more fuel. I think the stock seat is just as good if not better than my old gel seat on the DR. I do miss the grunt and torque of the DR but like the wide ratio gearing. My biggest problem is with a 30" inseam I've dropped this bike more than any I've owned. Last week I lowered the suspension about 3/4" and will see if that helps. If not then maybe some Yamalinks.

I do appreciate that Gary. It's only our 23rd anniversary. It's not like it's the 25th or something important.

I can only hang my head on that one William. If I have to be whipped though, I'd rather it be because of that.

On another note, I'm happy for you. I hear domestic partners will be allowed to get married in the State of Illinois soon. You'll be riding two up by the next time I see you.

Maybe she could come along with you and follow behind with you a spare tire and tubeS just in case you would need them.

Andy, I'm not sure that would be a relationship builder. Hell of an idea though.

You guys need to post over here more often. I have to lurk over in the Central IL thread for humor. Ha
