hello, just a couple of questions about the yellow bags: are they the standard model? are they well locked to the frame (off road allowed?) i was thinking to use them to
carry fuel in 5lts plastic jerrycans.
do you think they will do for the purpose?
thanks

charcole canister

Have any of you removed the charcole canister on the hp2? Wasnt sure if it would do anything postive if I did remove it. Anything negative? Does anyone have any directions on how to remove it...don't want to cut the wrong artery or forget not to plug something up.

Nothing negative. The Canadian version comes without the charcoal canister.

Hurrah for Canada!

cheers

Those are the standard model or better way to think about it is the LARGER version. The compition model is slightly smaller. Yes they are secure for off road use. They are so handy rain gear etc on tour and odds n ends other wise. On this death valley ride I put a 2 liter juice can with fuel in each bag. I have the Bavarian Markus tank and didnt need the extra fuel but it was nice to have extra. The other nice thing about them is easy off and on. I like them better than the tank bag i have that I dont use. Any one need an HP2 OEM tank bag?

Yep, and with a hole under the filler cap it's 24 liters.
