But of course!

Was it the 19"/ 17" setup you were going for??

Remember that those GS bikes have 2 rotors in front too...

Best luck to ya,

Kurt

That's what I had in mind. Ran across the set; gotta buy the pair sure as nothing would match the goofy HP2 rim anodization... and BOOM.

I should probably just get ahold of Woody and handle it. Thanks for setting me straight.

1,,rear is obvious your HP-2 5 bolt vs 4 bolt for all the 1100/1150s

2,, front axle is 30 mm on HP-2 vs 25 mm on all the 1100/1150s

3,,we know some stronger/lighter alternatives

woody - i am looking to build a 19" wheel for my HP2e.

i've got a supermoto hub, and i am trying to come up with the scratch for your 19" rim.

will an 1150 *rim* work with the hub that i have? i could possibly find an 1150 wheel for less than a new rim costs, then strip it down and send to you.

whatcha think?

Visiian,,,
yes the rim on the 1150 will work if it's straight

however only 1200GS hubs will interchange

FYI,,most all the rims on all the x=laced wheels will interchange,,,

BWOE,, instead of your 2.50x17 rear you could lace up the 2.50x18 from the front of a cruiser..that way you'll get a genuine tubeless rear and can mount any dirt bike tire ya choose,,,,,

or the black 19'' front rim from a GS/ADV is now available for $430 the silver for $410 ,,up until now you couldn't buy a oem back rim only the complete wheel at $1320+

FYI your front hub needs to be modiied ie drilled and countersunk for x-laced nipples,,, then there's a possibility of used/reconditioned rims/spokes to cut costs further.

holler ,woody

PS i just cut n pasted this here so everyone can read the questions /answers that should be posted in vendor forum..thanks w

thanks, this is what i was looking for. now i can shop for used 1150 or 1200 front wheels.

i already have a set of wheels for dirt (18" rear & 21" front, tubed)

i am looking to find a way to reduce my cost for a 19" front to go with my stock rear. i *guess* i can live with the wheels not matching, although the reference pic you show looks very nice.

(sorry for the thread interruption)

I was going through the exact same thinking a year or so ago. I ultimately sprung for having Woody's do the rear wheel as well. I'm glad I did. It looks better, but more importantly I don't have to change the rear tire when I want to go from dirt mode to street mode.
