While not drapped with beauties, I think this is the natural habitat for an HP2.

I had a damn good time at the Shelton Dual sport enduro this weekend. Nothing like bashing the jugs between two stumps!

Mottard during the week, and dual sport on the weekends!

I like it. I managed to get it on a scratch and dent sale, so it hurt a little less to buy. The installation was typical TT- a little persnickity, but no real problems. It does give a "soft fault" on the dash, but I've narrowed it down to the LED parking lights. No big deal to fix, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

My main reason for getting it was the fairing to be honest. That part works really well at taking the windblast off my chest. Makes 75-85mph MUCH more comfortable!

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the headlights. The HID high beam is nice, but it takes a while to warm up and doesn't like being switched off and on quickly. The main problem with the lights is the low beam. In any kind of wet conditions, the front wheel tosses crap directly at the lights, which immediately dries on the lens. On a wet gravel or hardpack road, it can completely obscure the low beam in a matter of a few miles! On a ride a couple of weeks ago, the guy I was riding with complained he couldn't see if I was behind him, and then I noticed the 1/8" of dried mud on the headlight! It was pouring at the time...

I think I'd rather have a regular 7" H4 headlight with a separately switched HID auxillary light off the side. Maybe this winter I'll change out the useless front fender and build some better lights myself.

I do like the fairing though- even if it does kind of look like big bird!

I agree... very sharp. Looks like it might sit a little differently than the stocker too. Have you cut the suspension?

BTW, I still have your old FJ60 and it's been kept in perfect shape. Just got some new oem goodies to replace 22 year old faded stuff. My daughter hit a moose with it last winter and all it did was rip the passenger mirror off. Damn stout truck.

It's behind the woodpile I split last weekend. Six cords and my back is not happy about it.

Hi Legion,

wow it's nice to hear you still have that cruiser, I kinda miss it. We have a 99 cruiser now and it's been a great truck, darn near indestructable.

Six cords of wood? hope you were wearing gloves

HP2 is stock height suspension, I set the sag a little lower then BMW specs but not by much, steers nice that way. Front suspension works allright, not bad for stock.

hey look what I found,,
