this is killin' me

first, this bike is too clean, but i thought it would be worth documenting, since it will never be this clean again.

next, i can't ride it... at least for two more weeks, and then only pretty easy, thanks to 5 ribs broken in 9 places from a recent get-off.

after pulling the trigger on a replacement down in Orlando, word of my totaled HP2e reached another local owner (fellow inmate izzug), who had a nicely-done bike farkled much like mine, only mo beddah. He called me and business was done.

The guy in Orlando with the other bike was very gracious... he had a second buyer lined up, so it's all good.

Will be removing a few pieces on this bike and adding a few others, but it sure is shiny now!

You got a beauty there - HPN tank, Bartossi Damper, Akra zorst etc.. Enjoy.

Apologies - I thought you were Belgian and possibly Flemish.

What I said was: "Marc, it looks very nice!" (in Dutch/Flemish).

I will now return to my corner.

I read a fleamarket ad by an HP2E owner selling his stock exhaust, & he said it was made by Akrapovic...can anyone confirm or deny this? It doesn't look anything like an Akra, however looking at Akra's dyno charts & their slip-ons don't yield significant power gains over stock.

I know the HP2 M was an Akra can for sure, they are bloody similar, one vertical outlets, the other horizontal, so its a possibility, rest of the system is standard GS

looking for used stock bits

Hiya,

I may be in line for a HP2 with some battle damage. Before I put my money to BMW for new parts, would appreciate if any inmates here are willing to part with the following stock bits at a reasonable price:

1. headlight
2. front beak with mounting frames/bow
3. skid plate
4. fuel tank side panels
5. stock seat cover (or the seat)
6. tail rack

PM me, and let's see whether we can have a win-win situation.

Trawling through this thread now .... it's quite a thread.

Cheers

I doubt it - the HP2 can is in fact an Akara - as far as I know essentially the same as the regular GS ... just minus the shiny chrome cover (ie the insides are the same).
