My fuel pump died recently, so I have some experience with this. First thing to check: when you turn the key, do you hear the pump run for one second?

Incidentally, fuel pump controller failures are more common than pump itself failing.

Here's the whole assembly:

That black plug on the back of the pump latches in place. It's not likely to be knocked out by accident.

I found one recently... I need one of those fuel pumps too. Pump is toast, and everything else inside the tank too. Oxygenated ethanol fuel ate every bit of insulation off of every wire, melted the hose, and corrosion welded the connectors together. Damn if it isnt the most screwed up thing I've ever seen.

How I found it

On its way

Having trashed/wrecked friends seems to be the key.

Good to see you have made a good recovery Dopra, even if you are not fully fit yet.
and the HP2 looks like you have done a good job putting it back together.

Just back from our GS Eco Challenge - over 600 GS's together for a weekend riding! (meant to be biggest GS gathering globally?). Anyway were 12 HP2's there and got a group shot of 10. See the link (anyone want to pull the pic for me feel free)
