Painted tank

Ristretto,

Absolutely stunning example of an Hp2!!
I see you've painted the tank, how did you go about doing that & has it worked out ok? When I enquired about painting mine, they told me it was not advisable as it was likely to bubble.

Rear Disk Carrier Crack's

Has anyone on this thread checked their rear disk carrier, I have found its been a problem on R1200/GS & Hp2's for at least two years and BMW doesn't acknowlge that there is a problem!
I checked mine a couple of weeks ago after Farcall posted his carrier had failed on a ride.
My disk carrier has two cracks in it through the disk mount holes!
