I would read a much as you can on the HPN installation before you commit. From what I gather, you'll be putting a lot of work and modifications into your bike just for a bit of wind protection (and a large increase in fuel capacity.)

Hpn tank

By far the HPN tank is the best upgrade I have made to my hp2. I don't know about wind protection but I needed more fuel. Pretty easy to install. Richard.

Also my favorite upgrade.

Fuel capacity is the main reason for the HPN upgrade. Extra wind protection is just a perk of the tank. Thanks for the input.

I hope I am not stepping on any toes here, and I will post up in the classifieds as soon as I am ready, but I thought I would put a feeler out in here to get a price check on HP2's. I have three HP2's currently, and am toying with the idea of selling one to fund a trip to Alaska this year with a group of local riders - the bike I am thinking about selling has ~2800 miles on it (not 28000) and is in showroom new condition. I have all of the factory parts, but the bike is currently sitting with new TKC 80's, Shiver front inserts, Ohlins rear suspension, full Akropovic Titanium exhaust, Woody's wheels kickstand modification, and a new battery. I am going to head over to the hangar this weekend to dig it out and get some pictures, but I have no idea where to land on this thing. I don't really need to sell it, but it has been an expensive spring and I think the Boss would be a lot happier with me if I moved it before heading North. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated - I bought up everything I could a year ago after first throwing a leg over one and falling in love, and as dead reliable as they are I think I can pair the fleet down to two without worrying too much about not having one to ride for years to come

Thanks!

I should buy your HP2 just to rob it of the aftermarket parts!

I know there's at least one person on HP2Enduro.com looking for a bike. Try posting it there as well.

Thanks for the heads up Snow enthusiest - Believe it or not I have never signed up for HP2Enduro.com!

I just went over and signed up - not sure how long the approval process takes, but I will probably post up there again as well. Has anyone seen one trade hands lately? What is the market currently for them?

Thanks again!

They go for about $15,000 stock. You could ask for more if there's upgraded suspension and a HPN tank. There's a MM for sale on Vancouver Island with a lot of upgrades and the guy wants $18,000. So yeah, it varies.

Damn!!! Makes me feel good about my MegaMoto.

I'd ask $18k for the HP2E as described. I wouldn't take much less than that either. Just my $.02.

Chained down with the trucks

Off the coast of Chile, headed north on the 4 day ride from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt on the cargo ferry Amadeo. Nearly everyone was barfing by day 3. Thankfully not me, my Guatemalan lady companion, or Lucinda.

Thanks for checking in guys! I went out and pulled it out of the hangar this weekend and I was having second thoughts on selling it once I had it out in the light! I know I won't ever find one as nice down the road to replace it, but I think I would have a harder time replacing Mrs. Bullsnake so I guess it is still up for grabs.

I am not super internet, tech savvy - anyone willing to post up some pics for me if I email them to them? I don't have any photo sharing accounts, etc., and am not sure how to set one up.

Thanks again!!!
