really impressive taylormade seat.........good quality.

I personally wouldn´t mount anything like this Harley Davidson seat on my HP2 because maybe i like some pain on the butt (you know, no pain no gain).

Seroiusly, sure you have good reasons to do it, so ......enjoy it.

I wouldn't want anyone on the list to know this, but a lot of my riding in the future will start on four wheels.....there is not a road within 300 miles of my house that I am not sick of......I don't care if I ever ride up Hwy 1 to Monterey again nor Hwy 58 across the middle of California....I want to try new roads and the seat (until I buy my Sprinter Mercedes van) helps get the first 300 miles behind me --no pun -- I'm not sure what you consider a big-milage day in Spain, but on dull roads, I like to get the first 300 miles behind me by lunch....a pain in the ass.......Bruce

Hey Bruce

Looks like a really well made seat and will certainly be comfortable. Do you find that it restricts your mobility? I find that I really like the narrow chassis of the bike and being able to move my weight back and forth as required off-road?

MAV: Offroad?

Who said anything about offroad? I'm sticking with dirt-roading.....I'm 65, have some medical issues, sold my last XR two years ago and gave all my hard-core riding clothes to my neighbor who just bought his first dirt bike.......and this seat doesn't seriously restrict movement back and forth or standing....I'm used to the Mayer seat as I've had them on nearly all the bikes I've owned since the late 70's........for me, buying a Mayer seat means I intend to keep the bike for more than a couple years......I've been going thru lots of bikes in the past five years in sort of a mad dash to 'try it all' before it's too late.....not unsurprisingly, three of my local friends lined up to buy the HP2 the instant I got it! They'll all know that their wait will be long once they see the new seat.....I'm keeping it......Bruce

Any one with a spare HP2 seat please let me know. I am after one to get a Renazco seat made.

Cheers

Steve

I went into the local BMW shop. There was an old HP2 seat in their workshop -- somebody had an accident and it got burned. I had it recovered and it's better than new.

i understand your reasons, that mileage worths the trasformation.

here in Spain we have a lot of mountains, so lots of twisty mountain roads, fire roads, even single tracks. I know most of them on a 300 miles ratio too, but as soon as it takes few months to repeat the same it is always ok for me to enjoy them.

Maybe if they'd bought Hitler an HP2.
