Question

About those panniers, Zega or BMW, mounted on AdvHp2Rider's company (Holan), which ones are the best ?
From the look of it, the bmw are the sexiest. But that's not a good reason.
Any comments on those 2 mounts ?

edited: just saw there are 3 mounts.
one for GSA panniers
one for zega's
one for both.....

Saw that Mav has one. So Mav, how does it behave ? any trouble ?

I have been really pleased with the racks. The guys at Holan were really helpful, even when the couriers managed to lose the nuts and bolts required to fit the racks! The racks are very narrow which can mean a diff mount for the exhaust and smaller indicators (i used the touratech 12GS small turn signals) but the benefit is panniers that are about the same width as the handlebars. Great for commuting and filtering.

I use mine for touring and commuting, not really keen on using them for hard off-road (soft bags tied to the racks is the way I'm leaning). They have been great for that. Taken way more load than I would've thought sensible (caused by having a G/F who loves buying sauces and other glass jar based products ). Have dropped the bike a couple times on the panniers and the racks have not shifted. Mine were one of the earlier models before they started offering powder coating or stainless steel, so mine are rusting a bit... but they were pretty cheap so it's not the end of the world.

All in all - highly recommended! My HP2 now truly does out GS a GS

HTH - PM me if you want more info.

Why are so few of the HP2's show here ever used in anger? C'mon, they look like they've just been prepped for some concours!

Or is just me?

Just you.

Most folk take the show pony pic's when the bike is at home and washed. Ride report pic's will show the dusty/dirty shots. Keen to join in on a Wild Coast trip in June?
