I'll write a report with photos asap. Al just called and said that they just now finished most of my brackets and they are being overnighted so we'll have them tomorrow morning. He also shipped the windshield kit. Film at eleven. 3.5 hours to go.

I made it.

Home depot, Plastiglass, dremel, hitgun, black spray can. works great.

i made a mounting of aluminium and it also holds my GPS(Garmin2610). the idea is not mine, i stole it from BMW . but i had to modify it to fit my needs.

let me know if you have more question!

Nice work! I just got the Wunderlich fly screen and then saw yours. I am thinking of using their mounting gear and fabricating somthing a little more substantial. I have an old stock R1100RS screen I am thinking about modifying.

just play with something before you cut it, you have to adjust it to your height for high speed riding.

A picture is worth.......

the bags shown in the pic above are specific for the HP2. they are definitely smaller than your average jesse bag, but better than nothing.

the half that connects to the bike typically does so through a shaped steel rod with mounting bosses.

the half that connects to the bags features two male pins that mate to the holes in the half that connects to the bike. you place the pins into the holes and twist until the latch snaps into place. the pins are mushroom-shaped and are grasped by the female half much in the way current jesse luggage works.

it sounds complex, but is actually quite simple. the proof will be in the get-off... hard to say how this is going to work without actually trying.
A thousand words...

the quick click is only the locking system, i hope it's going to be attached to the bike in more points.... well it has to be, since from the picture from Jesse's webside the Quick Click is attached to(only???) angle pipe of the sub-frame.

waiting for Viking report .....

there are actually some braces that go between the two mounts and the frame. and the quick-click does more than lock... it is a very rugged billet-cut mount.

your point about attachment to the bike at more points is interesting. i wonder about peoples' reaction when see these mounts. some of the bags i saw that mounted with quick-clicks featured a flat aluminum plate on the inside of the bags designed to spread the load, but there were no bars between the bags or other contact with the frame at the rear. (the mounts for the R12GS have two delron rub blocks...)

so i, too will be interested in hearing glen's thoughts, and would also like to test drop a bike to see what happens (but not my bike!)

Nice pics Ziro. Who makes those black frame protectors that you've added near the foot pegs.
