BMW 650GS Saddlebags

I have been looking at some saddlebags for my 2006 650GS. My wife likes to ride on the back sometimes. Are there any good saddlebags that will allow her to ride passenger? I looked at the BMW cases but they looked a little low budget. The other brands I looked at Hepco Becker,Pelicans look very large. I also checked out F650.com for info.

Jesse Panniers or Touratech are the standards that most go with. Both are very good and have slightly different features depending on what you want. I own Jesse's and am happy. Any F650 question can probably be answered with a search on F650.com in the forums or in the faqs.

I have Jesse panniers on my bike and love them. You can get a lot of stuff in them. However, they bug me sometimes when I am standing up off-road, only when going down hills, or if I have to put a foot down.

Check out Touratech and Caribou also. They are not as long as the Jesse's and would probably be more comfortable for your passenger.

Pelican cases are available in 48 different sizes. The only other common solution you haven't mentioned is Givi.

I've also heard good stuff about Happy Trails

Their panniers are well-regarded and their rack is commonly used for mounting all kinds of other things (pelicans, mermite cans, etc.) to the f650GS. The rack looks very sturdy, providing some protection for the ass end of the bike even when the bags are not mounted.
