next spring heading far east. therefor two questions:
- its possible to buy 640 Adv stuff (oil, filter, chain, tires) at local Almathy KTM dealer, or even to order stuff and wait maybe a week or so?
- do you got Pamit Hwy permit in Dushanbe, any problems there?
Hello Alex,

So when we were there they told us the buisnes is just strating. For sure they had oil (LIQUI MOLY). Filters, chain and tyres - I dont think that they could have it on stock; Probably you could order it earlier. Here is the email to them: info@eurasiamotors.kz
But the prises there are crazy. I had to buy one tyre in russia and it was 2x more expensive then here, and not the one that I wanted.
Have a look at your EMS post, you can send 10kg parcels to Kazachstan but its not so cheap. Better would be to send it to the russian border (Barnaul) - you can send 20kg parcels there and its not so expensive.

We have organized the permit earlier throug www.stantour.com (no problem), and received the original permission in Dushanbe. It took us half a day to get this - no problem. And I dont remember anybody checking this permission (only passport).

Big Hi Ho Ho Hi to Les Raclettes (used to be addicted to this) and to Switzerland (used to live there when I was a kid).

So why?
First its very agressive and sexy... but I also finde its useful. Already choose the mx equipment for few trips. I finde the Goretex Moltex Boltex usually very unsexy (no errection) and its never OK:
- when your doin offroad and its hot youre boiling
- when its cold and wet its cold and a bit wet
I prefer mx jacket where I can detach sleeves when its terribly hot. When its cold I put extra layers under like windstopper. Same with pants;
MX Helmet - its hard to finde any good point: its loud, when it rains it destroys my face, when cold its f.cold but I just dont have any fun in a closed helmet. Had temps from +50 celsius to -10 and I was happy with my setup. Will switch to MX boots cos the enduro with the soft stuff inside dries forever.

Hello Lordmaciek,

Is it possible that you send me the track you rode in Kyrgistan? In that way I can look where we missed the road to the beautiful roads you had. I have a gamin.

Thanks if you can,
AD

"A horse cant make this road!". In fact there were mini buses UAZ going to Kazarman and the road is easy and beatifull. Sorry you couldt find it, did you make it to Sonk Kol from the other side? Few pics from this road:

thank you... you managed to capture a moment of a dream of mine.. right here with this picture... I dream of the opportunity to see actual wild horses running free.... if there is such a sight.... how amazing!

On your previous trips, you made a video documenting the ride. When can we expect this video to be available? I can't wait! Amazing ride, BTW
